Two weeks ago I finally realized what was crazy drops about, it is an addictive iPhone tetris-like game, developed for a bunch of developers in Colombia (ColombiaMUG). My first tough was “here is another tetris, just give it a try and then remove it”, but after ten minutes playing I just got caught by the awesome graphics and the sense of deep in the game area that remembers those old handled water toys.

If you have an iPhone or iPod touch, you will love this game.

pros: resume option between game sessions, wifi multiplayer game, nice graphics
cons: addictive

Me parece ayer haber visto los puentes de manhattan antes del amanecer desde el avion, la voz de la azafata en espanol perfecto y luego en ingles de Colombiano diciendo “…de parte de avianca les deseamos una feliz estadia en New York…”, ver la luz del dia en en la salida del aeropuerto, ver a mi papa y a mi tio esperandome afuera y esa primera sensacion de que “llegue”.

Anoche fue poco lo que pude dormir, pensando como me ha cambiado la vida y la perspectiva de ver las cosas, despues de un año en la grande babylon (literalmente) pienso que no me equivoque al venir, al dejar todo lo que ya tenia y a mi amigos por venir y buscar hasta donde soy capaz de llegar.

Un año despues, la lista de cosas buenas es enorme a comparacion de las malas, he conocido gente de todas las esquinas del planeta (India, Rusia, Japon ,China, Korea, Filipinas, Mexico, Venezuela, Brasil, Espana, Argentina, El Salvador, Ucrania, Yugoslavia, Croatia, Francia, Irlanda, Turquia, Colombia, US, UK, Bielorusia, Congo, Italia, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Jamaica, Israel, Canada, Ecuador, Chile, Iraq, Grecia y otros que ni idea de donde son ), he comido cosas que en la vida pense y he descubierto musica del carajo (vease gogol bordello!!!). El mundo no es NYC, pero aqui esta un pedazo de todas partes, como dijo Cerati… “donde nadie sabe de mi y yo soy parte de todos”.

A todos gracias por el apoyo en las buenas y en las malas, gracias por los consejos, los regaños, los que no han venido por aqui los espero y los que ya vinieron, espero que vuelvan (chiky no te lo tomes muy a pecho que te vas a quebrar viniendo).

A los que esta esperando que compre el sofa para les pido paciencia, los sofas son mas caros de lo que pense.

Plying with the SDK for iphone was one the most exciting and challeging experiences in coding. that was my first time (not the last one) using Objective-C and XCode, I really like the SDK, but I think XCode can be better, maybe Apple guys can take a look on Eclipse IDE and get some good ideas.

This one is easy, If you have SSH access to that server , then, you can use sshfs which can let mount and amount remote folders as local drives.

You will only need to install MacFuse and sshFS (there are more file systems available as procfs, SpotlightFS, AccessibilityFS, YouTubeFS and gmailFS ).

Then you can mount your remote server using:
sshfs user@servername:/ ~/mnt/servername -o’ping_diskarb,volname=servername’

and unmount it with:
umount ~/mnt/servername

Now if you prefer a graphical alternative, you can use MacFusion, a free (donations allowed) tool that let you add an icon in you Mac tool bar and have fun with your remote volumes.
